Ignas Stropus (Palanga) – publisher born in 1885 in Pakutuvėnai, he studied photography in Plungė. In 1908 he opened his first photo studio “Birutė” in Kretinga. From 1921 he lived in Palanga, where he became the most prominent interwar seaside photographer and postcard publisher. He issued postcards depicting views of Palanga, Plungė, and Kretinga, as well as major fires and other events. His studio and bookstore operated on Basanavičius Street in Palanga.
